Christian Worldview Response Articles

Christian worldview response articles are written analyses or critiques that examine and evaluate current events, current news, and popular culture through the lens of a Christian worldview’s response. You, the author, will explore how current events, current news, and popular culture align with or challenge the evangelical Christian worldview as it is written in our statement of faith.

Here are some key elements to consider when writing a Christian worldview response article:

  • Introduction: Introduce what you are analyzing and briefly explain the Christian worldview lens through which you will be examining it. Provide context about the significance of the Christian worldview as it pertains to your topic and its relevance to the work.

  • Summary: Give a concise summary of the work, highlighting the main themes, plot, or ideas that are relevant to the Christian worldview response analysis.

  • Worldview Analysis: Explore how the work aligns with or challenges the core beliefs and values of the Christian worldview. Consider the following aspects:

  • Themes: Identify the underlying themes and messages in the work and analyze how they relate to the Christian worldview.

  • Characters: Evaluate those involved, their beliefs, motivations, and actions in light of the Christian worldview. Do they embody the values and principles associated with our worldview, or do they challenge them?

  • Ethics and Morality: Assess how the work addresses ethical and moral questions from the perspective of the Christian worldview. Does it endorse or critique certain ethical positions?

  • Symbolism and Imagery: Analyze any symbolic elements or visual imagery that may carry meaning within the context of the Christian worldview and/or secular worldview.

  • Personal Reflection: Share your personal response to the work and how it resonated with or challenged your own worldview. Discuss any insights or revelations you gained through the process of engaging with the work.

  • Conclusion: Summarize your main points and offer a final evaluation of the work's engagement with the Christian worldview. Discuss its strengths and weaknesses in relation to the worldview analysis. Consider the work's overall impact on the audience's understanding of its worldview.

  • Word Count: 750-1000 words

  • Citations: Any citations made should be in SBL (Society of Biblical Literature) format.

  • Headings: Headings should be included to organize thoughts throughout the article.

Maintain a respectful and thoughtful tone throughout your analysis, recognizing the diversity of perspectives and fostering constructive dialogue, but maintain Biblical boldness and principles.
